Old School at Jaya One

Extremely sorry for the lack of updates. Life has been really happening, it's a good thing, i must add. Jaya One is the closest shopping mall to MAHSA. I think I said it was Mid Valley previously, it is actually Jaya One, but Mid Valley has more entertainment value hahas. Jaya One has plenty of food choices though. My girls and I happened to be in that area that day after visiting our friend, YF at Columbia because he was infected by dengue fever *get well soon dude!* We went to Old School in Jaya One for lunch. It was an really interesting place and i couldn't help to take tons of photos to blog about it.

Their menu deserves an award lolol

Every menu was hand written by different people.

The choices offered by Old School would definitely leave you spoilt for choice. They offer both Malaysian delights and western food. It's a "pork-based" restaurant though, most of their dishes contains pork.

*Sorry dear Muslim readers, it's a non-halal restaurant*

The waitress was really amiable!
When she noticed that i was taking a photo of her,
she told me to tell her beforehand next time so she can smile properly!

Look at her uniform!

The entire restaurant was designed like a school canteen and classroom, wait, let me rephrase that, a very nice school canteen and classroom. It was simply and neat. There were tables and chairs that resembles a classroom, together with paintings of school children, teachers and black boards on the wall on one side. There were long benches and long tables, together with primary school snacks, tit bits, and toys which reminds everyone of their primary school days. Even the waitress and manager were dressed in cute school uniforms.

i think i looked like crap that day so i took a photo of my girls without me but the manager came by and offered to help us to take a photo

Lin Hui's pick.

It was Fried Rice in Pork Soup.
I didn't give much thought when i order that because i find it amusing, who puts fried rice in pork soup.
I have to say that it looks much better in the menu but "photos (on menus) are only for illustration"

I kinda liked the soup but i didn't finish the rice because it was white rice only i guess and i dislike white rice lolol

Yin Ruo's .

*too lazy to rotate sorry*

I didn't manage to taste everyone's food because i couldn't even finish mine. All of us enjoyed our meal though. The portion was quite big and the price was pretty affordable. I would certainly re-visit the restaurant again! :)

Love,
Sheunny
