Ipoh Roadtrip

As i've mentioned in my previous post i went on a short getaway with my family. We visited a few different places everyday and it was so much fun. Due to my hectic foundation schedule, the last trip we've been was Japan during CNY in 2014. Since I'm finally free & my sisters are having two weeks of sweet school holidays too, we went on a short trip to Perak! As much as I love travelling overseas, there's actually tons of wonderful destinations to go in Malaysia too! *feeling patriotic*

Photo diary, go!

my girls recommended this restaurant as soon as i told them i'm in ipoh so i quickly Waze-d our way here!

sorry for the bad photo but it's the only photo i got..

We digged in almost immediately when the food was served.
I loved the chicken, the tauge, and the kuey teow, they were super delicious!
I'm more of a noodle person than a rice person so sorry i forgotten to take pictures of the rice part lolol

Would definitely love to re-visit Restaurant Tauge Ayam Lou Wong! :DD

we also tapao-ed one whole yim gok gai (salted chicken) from this shop for supper.

//
just realised how much chicken we ate lol

Besides tauge chicken, there were puff pastries everywhere too.

Was walking to Kinta Riverfront to check out the light decorations & I saw this barber shop. Not sure why there's a crowd standing outside the shop so i stopped to take a few pictures lol

It's a love bridge! There's a lot of locks on the chains at the bridge.

Tbh, the bridge look really insignificant.

Ta-da! I-city's decorations are nicer tho, in my opinion.

We left Ipoh after that and came back again a few days later hehs.

spot the giant lizard.

We stopped by Gunung Lang for some sightseeing.

The sky was blue the lake was green and the sun was a bit too freaking bright. They offered boat rides too bu we decided to pass because of the horribly unforgiving weather.

We then headed to Foh San for dim sum like typical tourist lol. Dim sum is on my favourite type of food list!! Foh San amazed me with it's fancy looking exterior and interior!

it's self service btw.

too bad the chu cheong fun-s were all sold out :((

LOVED THIS! POLO CHAR SIEW BAO <3
Cripsy on the outside, soft & chewy inside.

so cute la

Lao Sha Bao hehs one of my fav too!

this was not bad too! but as i've mentioned, i'm not a rice person.

you take your food from the counter, let them mark your list, then bring your food back.
there was also this humble looking Restaurant Ming Court which is equally famous for dim sum also right opposite Foh San but it was closed to we didn't get to try their dim sums.

Next, we went to Kek Look Tong. It's a cave temple.

There's also a beautiful garden inside Kek Look Tong. However, again, the weather was too unfavourable for us to enjoy the garden.

picked a shady place and quickly take photos

*inserts ancient kung fu pro flying across* lol

Passed by a pomelo farm so we went down and take a look (then buy pomelo lol)
btw no that bmw is not mine

went here to buy a few more salted chicken cause we love salter chicken lol

wanted to get kaya puffs here but we were told to wait for 15 minutes so we decided to try it next time.

had been craving for soya cincau then i saw this. BUY!!

Only then i realise it's famous,

there was quite a queue too but the workers were really quick and efficient.
They also "deliver" orders to the cars lol

craving satisfied :D

That's all for Ipoh. Til the next post!

xx,
Sheunny
