Googled "heart text symbol" to use them as bullets for my bullet points hehe.
Instead of doing a regular year in review for 2019,
I've decided to jot down things i'm grateful for in 2019
so here it goes:
♡ I'm grateful for being able to travel/ go on vacations.
I love travelling,
I've made a goal to travel at least 3 times a year when I'm earning my own money
but I'm still a full time dental student now so i get financial support from my family
(also really grateful for that)
I literally ended 2018 & started 2019 in Vietnam.
(traveled 3 times in 2018 too, just for my own record la-
Krabi with friends, Bangkok & Vietnam with my family)
This year i got to end 2019 in Taiwan with my family.
I also traveled to Bukit Fraser with my family, & Penang with my friends.
I also went to Lifegen's Camp in Malacca, can't miss that out.
perhaps I should do a year in review post haha
♡ I'm grateful for my family's health.
mainly my parents, of course.
i do not want to go into the details of that
but i'm just really grateful :)
♡ I'm grateful for completing my third year of dental school.
During my first year, second semester, i remembered vividly,
i struggled to cope with the study load
there wasn't tuition classes I can attend like how i used to, in high school,
it takes a lot of self-discipline, hard-work & finding the correct way to study of course,
to fully comprehend the subjects I was taking.
fast forward to third year, i struggled a lot lesser.
found ways to make studying a lot more enjoyable
& my grades improved
(not trying to brag, just grateful that things got much better)
♡ I'm grateful for my clinical partner & all the patients who trusted me to treat them.
third year was also the beginning of our clinical year
i had a really great partner - Kah Heng & i really wouldn't have been so efficient
(especially in terms of prostho work, without KH, we issued dentures for 3 patients hello!)
I'm also grateful that all the patients i've met are really nice people
some of them even introduced even more patients to me
i feel such a sense of achievement when this happens
♡ I'm grateful for my wonderful housemates.
I've moved out from the MAHSA hostel
& rented a townhouse with Kamand & Peter.
I've heard stories about how troublesome it is to have incompatible housemates
I've been living with my current housemates since Sept 2018
& we've been conflict-free since Sept 2018
& i really enjoy living with them
thank you, housemates ;)
♡ I'm grateful for the house I'm renting.
as i've mentioned, i moved out to a townhouse
i actually moved again, into another townhouse (with Kamand & Peter ofc)
our first house was really basic & overpriced,
we only rented it because choices were limited back then
it's been 4 months since we moved out & i don't think anyone has moved in yet
we absolutely love our current house
it's really beautiful & well furnished
& we're just so so glad we moved
♡ I'm grateful for the friendships I still own.
i am never a people pleaser, i don't do small talks much,
i won't call myself an introvert,
but i'm definitely not an extrovert
but i have friends who i've been friends with since the beginning of dental school
& some even before dental school
& those who are still around are truly the real ones
♡ I'm grateful for being able to make peace with myself.
I remembered overthinking a lot about a lot of things,
i know it sounds vague
but those things doesn't even matter now
there's no need to worry so much
because everyday is different
everyday is a new day to be a better version of myself
♡ I'm grateful for His grace.
& I can't wait to see what He has planned for me in 2020
(this entire entry was written in January,
I have this habit of keeping things in draft instead of posting them,
unless they are sponsored post haha,
but yeah,
stay tuned to see what else i drafted
& stay safe during this COVID season.)
