Tioman Island Getaway

During the previous school holidays, Daddy Lau brought us to Paya Beach, Tioman on a vacation. We were there for 4 days and 3 nights. It was a truly memorable trip and a great experience. The main purpose of our trip - DIVING! This is going to be a really long post, a wordy one. Just kidding! Wordy as in photos loaded, you know how they say a photo speaks a thousand words?

The journey to Tioman was painfully long. Took us like 5 freaking hours to drive there.

We went to Mersing Jetty for ferry to Kg. Paya :)

' because the photo looks better this way '

Say Hi to Daddy Lau!

I love the ferry asdfghjkl so pretty!
I mean the seats actually. How often do you see seats in pink colour?!

once again, ' because the photo looks better this way '

Finally we're here.

*resisting the urge to run at the beach in excitement & singing a happy song really loudly*

The view from our room.

a mirror ootd (w/out shoes)selfie upon getting in the hotel is a must haha !

then it drizzled :(

Ignore my stupid face/wayward hair.

Daddy Lau was like, hey lemme take a photo for you.
So okay..

Attempting center parting..

*Do i look like Jess? lolol*

I think i deserve an award for this picture lolol

once again a self proclaimed award winning shot haha !

trying to be artistic

there i was
reading my open water diving manual,
sipping on black tea
listeing to the sound of the waves beating the shore.

How badly i wish i could have an environment like this everyday
- i'll promise to study diligently for SPM !

i love taking panoramic shots #sheunfact

credits to Ming.

is my photography skill improving? is it? is it?

This is probably the only photo of what i ate there..

Peaceful ghost!

i do stupid things i know.
We started our lessons on the next morning!

fyi, only Daddy, Mommy & I took the course.
Both of my sisters are afraid of fishes apparently. hmm

we practised a few skills in the swimming pool first.

*hidden message*

the golden hour for photos!

another "must-do" when you're at the beach

typical me haha !

dragged my sis for a photoshoot in the morning .

I just realised i didn't do my "typical blogger" thing of taking photos of the bed the living room the balcony the toilet the sink the fridge the television the table the sofa etc etc .

Oops!

yet i didn't forget to take a photo of the private jacuzzi that offers you the beautiful scenery of the sea!

practically the only thing i liked about the hotel room.

aftermath of pouring a handful of shampoo in the Jacuzzi !

studying at the beach itself before taking my test to get my diving certificate.

i didn't realise my sister was taking this.

Proves how dedicated i am ahaa.

selfie with my diving instructor before leaving !

I'm glad he's a very friendly and approachable man which made my diving course so fun !

look at their mandarin lolol

okay third picture of food & probably the only tasty thing on the island that i've eaten..

Mummy claims that i have too much photos of myself
(which is true but reasonable since it's my phone lolol)
so i took a photo of her.

Might not be the best looking photos but these photos are priceless!

Mummy, me & Daddy !
photo credits to the diving instructor's assistant. He is clearly not a good photographer lolol

First of all i would like to say that the photos are not in orderly manner and there are too much photos so i gave up arranging them lolol.

Just in case you're wondering why do i seem to be wearing the same tank top everyday, well, i wore them for less than an hour then i change into my diving suit and most of the time there i was in my swimsuit/bodysuit so yeah.

My review for my vacation at Paya Beach, Tioman :

I would rate the resort with one star only. the maintenance of the resort isn't quite satisfying and the facilities pretty much sucked. The food choices in the hotel (buffet) itself is shamefully little too! There is a few restaurants and stalls outside the resort but the food are so-so only too.

Your mobile carrier won't be working on the island most of the times so basically your phone is for photography purpose only and yeah, almost all of the photos on this post are taken by my iPhone5C.

Diving was great though. I still fin dit hard to believe I was almost 10m under water for over half and hour. I actually saw turtles, sting rays, nemo and dory as well as countless sea creature i couldn't name. I can't wait to dive again!

Yours,
Sheunny xx
