Confession : I did not know how to printscreen on the computer until a few minutes ago when i googled it LOLOL
I tried finding the parts where i look better to print screen but i guess i can't find any besides the parts where i am playing guitar. I look pretty stupid thorughtout the entire video. I know (some of) you people would go and print screen the my ugly face when i am singing la but i don't careeeeeee
I've always wanted to make song covers, although i cannot deny my singing is only mediocre, but i really really love singing (HAVE I EVER MENTIONED THAT?). Oh just in case you don't know, i do make short covers on soundcloud, https://soundcloud.com/sheunny, i guess i hadn't mention that on my blog before eh haha ! I'm definitely not trying to be a singer or anything la haha, it's merely a hobby :P
So, I've finally made a cover on youtube! I still find it unbelievable. A big thanks to Zhang Yi, my very talented photographer & videographer friend for filming and also Shawn for inviting me! I cannot express how happy i am, it's almost like a dream come true! It took us around 6 hours to film, I always thought making song covers on youtube is a piece of cake but hell no, i was utterly wrong. We had to search for the right spot with the right amount of light, set up the camera, the microphone and a lot of very...professional gadgets that i don't know how to name lolol next we had to record the guitar track, our voices, then our faces (okay, i don't know what to call that, pardon my limited vocabulary D: )
I was having mixed feelings about sharing this on my blog because one moment i feel so proud of myself for finally making it but the other i was there having really low self esteem and think that i did really bad but i decided to share it anyways since it's my first youtube cover, something definitely worth blogging!
So far I've received a number of positive comments from my friends, which really makes my day, i am grateful for having such supportive and sweet friends. I know there's also people who thinks it's bad (there's two thumbs down! D: ) but i've prepared myself to accept all sorts of response la.
To be honest I was freaking out throughout the whole video shooting. We took one day to decide on which song to play and we filmed the very next day. We didn't manage to have a complete rehersal and Shawn wasn't feeling well because he lost his voice :/ but Zhang Yi did a really brilliant job filiming, the video turned out looking so damn good, the "sunshine effect" is simply fantastic! I totally wasn't expecting it to look so good, not that i am doubting Zhang Yi's skill or anything but i am really really amazed by the outcome.
