Taiwan 1 : Kaohsiung

my mind went blank when my cursor clicked at the post title space so yeah. That title looks pretty neat and straight forward, nothing fancy but not that bad whatever should carry on

It's been five days since i came back from Taiwan. I went to Taiwan with my dad's friends together with their families or their other half, 18 of us altogether, seven were kids, including me. I was (can i say unfortunately?) the oldest of all again but i'm glad there's not that much of a "generation gap" or "age gap", we still got along pretty well and we're still keeping in touch on Facebook haha our group chat was filled with crap but it makes me laugh most of the times somehow

I was there for eight days and seven nights. We had our own mini tour as we rented a bus - so we can move around easily in Taiwan, not to mention comfortably haha- and also a tour guide who i didn't really liked because he speaks weird Mandarin and he's not good at narrating and he's not 100
% familiar with the place. He's a Hong Konger actually, don't ask me why did we get a HKer as our tour guide in Taiwan cause i have zero idea.

We took Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong then transfer flight to Kaohsiung because there weren't any direct flight from Malaysia to Kaohsiung.

idk why but i just loved this photo hmm.

Mummy asked me to wear my jeans, saying it would be very very cold there

No

It wasn't as cold as we expected it to be hmm

ps, i think Malaysia passport actually looks very good haha the red colour is so bright :P

Kids Meal for my sisters. 12 & 14 but they still take kids meal.

the regular meal.
tbh, kids meal usually, i repeat, usually taste better haha but for this meal both tasted terrible.

The food was disappointing :(
Upon reaching HK, we had two hours with nothing to do but there's computers so i managed to kill time easily :)

sorry for the blurry pic
first time seeing such a complicated looking keyboard haha luckily i had all the alphabets memorized from years of blogging :P

i have a habit of visiting  my own blog when i am using other computer outside haha
We took Dragon Air from HK to Kaohsiung.

Kids meal. It actually tasted rally good, love!

regular meal tasted pretty satisfying too :D
I love that Oolong tea cookie heh

sorry i forgotten to rotate the photo,
giving you a little exercise to tilt your beautiful head haha

look at that haha // Kaohsiung Airport.

idk what face is that.

I've always wanted to do this haha inspired by my Greyson :P

It was night time already by the time we reached there, flying took us pretty much the whole day.

We took the taxi to our hotel.

Holiday Garden was our first hotel there, I forgotten to take pictures of the hotel but overall it was a pleasant stay. The room was quite comfortable and the service was good :)

We promptly check in and unloaded our luggage then we headed to Liu He night market. You know, night markets are one of the main attractions in Taiwan. We have it once a week here in Malaysia, they have it every day. Most of the stalls there sell food and beverages, the ones in Malaysia sells uncooked food too like vegetables and meat. Okay, idk what am i talking about. Scroll on, just scroll on please.

They have this squid everywhere and they are certainly worth the price :)

*drooling*

Lobster at night markets omg.

people here love dogs a lot, i think , well based on my observation haha

i didn't see anyone buying them ahah..

BITTER GOURD!

the well known papaya milk
it was 10 yuan more expensive than the other stalls but it taste so so good !

Before returning the hotel from the night market, we stopped by at the 7eleven convenient stall.

how cute is this !

i've collected all the coffee bottles in the second row.
Don't they look like some really beautiful cosmetic bottles?
They are certainly winning the best appearance award.

tastes ordinary but i am a sucker for packaging.
did i mention that i am not a coffee fan?

while walking home we saw this Proton Persona
all of us were like "wow Malaysia Boleh!" #proudMalaysianmoment haha

 // DAY TWO

Started my day with yogurt brought from the day before.

I sometimes wake up hungry so i have to keep food in handy. #sheunfact

Headed out to the neighborhood for breakfast. I didn't remember the name of it, sorry! but you'll spot it for sure strolling a few minutes away from Holiday Garden hotel.

the queue was pretty long and all of them were locals so we decided to join the queue

Tbh, the food was quite mediocre only, but the price was fairly affordable, maybe that explains why the locals were all here for breakfast. Based on my observation, and also according to my tour guide, motorcycle is the main transportation for the local, most of them rode their motorcycle to take away their breakfast. After enjoying the local style breakfast, we walked leisurely around the area while waiting for our other members :)

<3

that's water actually.

got that angel feel lolol
...*drum rolls* and the tour begins !

  西子灣

We went for a boat tour thing and the person, ah idk what do you call that person, that person speaks like a robot omg and i barely listened to him. He sounded worse than my most boring class in school, for real duhh.

After visiting the Love River, we took a ferry across for dinner.

  旗津海鲜餐

The food was just passable here hmm. We returned back to our hotel after our dinner.

I guess that's all for this post for now. I didn't expect it to be so long. Took me like four hours to finish this omg. Stay tuned for the next post! :)

 Yours truly,
Sheunny
