"If travelling was free, you'll never see me again."
Have you came across that quote? It's very well said if you ask me.
I really love travelling, I've promised myself to travel as much as possible when i am capable which means i have to work hard and save up for all my travelling expenses instead of spending them on exorbitant branded luxuries.
So a week after my trip to Taiwan with my family, i went to Singapore with Jesslyn, i think she appears on my social medias frequent enough so i do not need to introduce her la haha . It was my first time going leaving to country with a friend, but she's not just a friend la, she's my unbiological sister haha I've only been to a camp with her once few years back and she came for a sleepover at my place once last year. It's actually a very good experience to travel with your best friend or whoever you wish to know better because you get to learn a lot about each other throughout the trip. Really.
For example, she learnt that I'm a very forgetful person, i tend to forget my things easily. On our first day, she came to my house early in the morning and Mama Lau fetched us to KLIA. Not long, i realized that i left the money my mum gave me at home. I panicked of course, i have zero Singapore dollar with me and my mum was already home when i called her. I sense a lot of things in between which i shall not mention in public. I just felt really awful. Just a minute ago i was practically walking with a spring under my shoes but i fell like a inflated balloon upon realizing my stupid mistake.
However, luckily i was living with my Aunt Doreen and her family at Singapore and she generously gave me some money to spend. I am really grateful for my Aunt Doreen, Uncle Edwin and Cousin Priscilla. I couldn't imagine how would it be if it weren't for them. I'll continue my appreciation message later on :) <3

Jess, yours truly & Pris :) <3 My Aunt Doreen was our photographer of the day haha |
![]() |
it was quite crowded there with tourists like me haha. |

Priscilla was a year younger than Jess & I, not much of a age gap, fortunately, so we got along pretty well. I only mentioned about the places i wanted to visit and Pris got everything arranged perfectly for us. She's also very good at taking MRTs haha i wouldn't have dared to take the MRTs alone at KL, let alone be familar with the roads and station. However, Pris knew the MRT like the back of her hand which was very impressive to me haha We took the MRT to everywhere we wanted to go and it was really convenient. Basically everywhere is reachable by MRT in Singapore, and hopefully in Malaysia too soon :)
There were these balloons for everyone to write their wishes on them so we went and wrote la haha idk but i love leaving messages where ever i can, not vandalize public stuff ok haha

Gardens By The Bay. |
Very very very saddeningly (is there such a word? i use that word a lot...lol) it was raining that time and we were kinda in a rush so we didn't get to walk and see the whole garden. It was so beautiful. Sorry about the photo quality tho, Jess's DSLR went outta juice and we took the photos with her iPhone front camera as my phone was, unfortunately, too heavy for my monopod lolol
We had a mini tea time in between at Ya Kun coffee stall, it's something like Old Town in Malaysia la but with less choice, to be more exact, only coffee and toast and those simple simple stuff la, no curry mee or nasi lemak that Old Town always advertise about lol

coffee was decent, luckily. |

Butter Kaya Toast :D luckily it wasn't too bad. haha. |

You know, i have a habit of reading other people's blog a lot, and i am also a professional stalker. I realized that the well-known bloggers which have perfect photos on their blogs used to have grainy photos a lot too when cameras weren't that well developed back then. I'm trying to find an excuse for my grainy pictures but forget it. I fail lolol. I have another story! But i shall save that for some other time *winks*
if you read that paragraph of crap, i love you haha
sorry i just wasted a few seconds of your time.
Now scroll on.
lolol.

The one on my right is my Aunty Doreen heh she can blend in with us and pretend she's our age le :P |
Did i mention that it was Chirstmas when we went there? #ExtraSpecial
Then we went to catch the Marina Bay Sands show. Water and lights/lasers, it was spectacular! Plus, you don't have to pay for the show haha. You know it sucks because Malaysia Ringgit is so much smaller than Singapore Dollar. SGD was 2.6x bigger than MYR at that time fyi. Let;s say a bowl of noodles cost MYR6 in Malaysia, it cost SGD6 in Singapore too. And they are just normal stalls, not fancy fancy restaurants kay! So of course we have to watch after how we spend out money la haha :)
Here's a video of the show! I know it's not exactly very clear la, it was taken by my phone camera. I was holding my phone up for the whole time so please forgive me if i was shaking haha. As i was taking videos, i didn't take photos la so watch the video if you want. It's like 13mins long if i am not mistaken. Sorry i don;t know how to edit videos :x
After the show, i went home and to get my much needed rest from all the travelling and bursting excitement throughout the whole day :) Marina Bay was really really pretty, I'm sorry for the lack of pictures. Stay tuned for day two!
Lots of love,
Sheunny
