Kuala Sepetang Boat Trip.

After blogging about my Ipoh Road Trip, I'm back to blog about my Kuala Sepetang Boat Trip which i went with my family few days ago. Without further ado, let's hop on the boat ;D

First up, eagle feeding! It's quite similar to the eagle feeding Langkawi has too. We were told that the eagles are the same species. I didn't manage to take photos of the eagles in Langkawi but this time i did :D

Mama Lau <3

our tour guide & boat driver (is that the right erm? eeks)
they were very nice & friendly :D

Second stop, Kuala Sangga, a small and lovely fishing village.

their electric generator.
they use solar power too !

their dried shrimps were twice the size of the ones i usually see!

CAN YOU SEE THEM?

if i'm not mistaken, they are called mudskippers (i googled lol)
You know, fishes that can come to the land?

then we spotted a crab that got stucked

so this uncle went down and "rescue" the crab

then he went to get ropes to tie the crab for us

they have a school here too!

ta-da! we just earned ourselves a crab!
But we ended up throwing it back into the water lol

We also tried their signature drink, Hokasai (虎咬狮 read in hokkien, meaning tiger bite lion lol). It's actually Milo with coffee. Very thick & rich in flavour, perfect for the weather too cause it was ice cold.

And this, was legendary lol. May i introduce you to their toilet. Basically it's a hole on the wooden floor surrounded with metal plates as your walls. You just do your business in the hole and they will fall right down to the.. ground below lol which is the sea.

The fishermen to stop their boats on the logs to wash them :)

they also built houses (the one in blue) for swallows to harvest their bird nests.

the friendly fishermen showed us their nets to trap crabs excitedly when we passed by :)

there's another house for swallows :)

interesting foot feet print (s?) lol

there was also this hotel on the sea.
It's a very interesting hotel because it floats on the water and it will wobble with the moving water.

Our tour guide jokingly (i suppose) told us that if the rope that is holding the hotel in place breaks, the hotel might just float and end up at some big sea in Indonesia!

Mangrove

SPOT THE LIZARD (AGAIN)

CAN YOU SEE IT YET

my personal fav shot <3

Ta-da! This is the tour I've followed. Eagle Sight Seeing Tour (ESST). We rented the whole boat to ourselves at RM150. They also let a few of the villagers to tumpang our boat. Oh dear what do you call tumpang in english?)

Here's their facebook page in case you're interested. We didn't stay for the fireflies because we were tired already and we've seen fireflires in Kuala Selangor before last time. You can also see dolphins at Kuala Sepetang!! I never knew that at first until they mentioned it. But you need to be lucky in order to see dolphins. I would love to revisit for dolphins!! The tours at available at almost any time, they do not have a fixed schedule, but calling them in advance would be advisable :)

it's a poop lol

We went there around 4pm, so by the end of the boat tour, it was dinner time. We headed for dinner next at Hai Shang.

Tbh, there wasn't anything special with their dishes. I was rather disappointed as i thought their seafood would be good. Only this particular mantis shrimp was worth mentioning. Chewy and juicy, yums!

The restaurant was rather small.
there was outdoor seating as well as indoor (air conditioned) ones. We chose the latter as we couldn't bear the heat.

another one of my fav shot x sunset

live one lol

Upon leaving, i saw this petrol station which i thought was pretty interesting haha.

It was a really enjoyable trip. I actually think that fishermen life is pretty cool haha maybe i would retire at a fishing village lol or maybe take a long vacation at a fishing village la!

Lots of love,
Sheunny
