On the last day of May, which i didn't manage to include in my Chapter Five of 2016 entry because i decided to be hardworking *laugh until got tears emoji* and post my May post in advance as i'm going on a family trip for the next following days. Here I am again, two days late
I have been hesitating for about five minutes whether or not to do a separate entry for this but i decided against it because i don't have much photos taken hmm. I didn't know they have a waterproof bag just in case we need to keep our phones so we left all our belongings on the car. My fam & i were in a boat with one of the guide while another two Malay girls were on another boat with two other guides. One of the Malay girl brought her phone so she helped me to take a few photos *grateful*
We were given a safety briefing before starting. They were simple & pretty much fool-proof so no worries! There were a few rapids but not strong enough to turn us over actually. Ming & Teng fell off our boat once it was so funny. Our guide purposely overturned our boat once so all of us fell in the water. We also had a break in the middle and did some "cliff jumping". It was my first time & I always wanted to do cliff jumping so i went twice haha. I would love to do cliff jumping at a higher cliff next time!! The guides were really well experienced and approachable. They also speak quite fluent English. We were also given bottles of water during our break to re-hydrate, so thoughtful of them hehs. The whole journey was approximately 2 hours. On a side note, there's also a lot of scenery to feast on along the river!
very unglam lol |
Side story: after white water rafting we wanted to take a shower. There were bathrooms at the river side but they were rather.. crude? (i googled 简陋 LOL) we remembered that there's a big toilet and bathroom where we parked our car so we decided to go there. Unfortunately when we got there the toilets were closed already. FYI, there's two sessions for white water rafting daily and we went for the second session which was in the afternoon. We saw an old uncle so we approached him. Apparently he was the guard there and he told us we could use his bathroom in his guardhouse. He told us to wait for a while so he could tidy it up for us. How nice of him! Then he left his guardhouse to give us some privacy. It was a simple gesture but it was certainly a heart warming one, at least to me!
his guard house. |
Also, we went to Sepetang.
We went to Maxwell Hill too! And did my first ever vlog which was actually pretty bad lol.
It was a "Visit Perak" trip haha!
We went to Genting too to escape the heat. The heat nowadays is crazy!!
pretty patterns during dinner |
apparently i do not glow in the dark hmm. |
went bowling during the glow in the dark hours hehs |
I also went to watch Conjuring 2. It wasn't exactly "horrifying" but the whole movie was nice and exciting, i really liked the movie! :)
I'm still on my long break apart from the occasional meet ups with a few of my close friends living nearby, helping out slash observing at Papa Lau's clinic, i spend most of my time baking, reading novels and watching iflix haha!
I've finished The Maze Runner Series (actually i finished them last month lol) and sadly the Kill Order was rather boring. Can't wait the Death Cure movie considering how different the book and the movie for The Scorch Trials is! Newt is definitely my bae (favorite) in the story hehs.
