Penang Trip with Super Gang (Part Two) ft. Monkey Beach

Hello I'm back with part two of my Penang trip entry. We spent our first day visiting all the typical tourists spots, mostly sight seeing. On the second day we went to the Penang National Park. We added the National Park on our lists because we've read reviews about the beautiful beach there. There's a lot of beaches in Penang but the ones in the National Park claims to be the best so we couldn't miss it. Scroll on and let the photos do the talking shall we?

while waiting for the lift
well we just couldn't miss any opportunity to take a photo lolol

We took Uber to Penang National Park. It took us roughly an hour (from our hotel in Georgetown) but lucky for us our Uber driver kept us entertained with his stories. Not sure if they are true but at least they kept us amused during the ride. Fortunately the traffic was smooth too. Upon reaching the National Park, we had to register with our names, phone number & IC number. We then booked for a boat to fetch us back from the beach later on. I overheard from two other (different) persons that their (different boats) boat fare was higher than ours, they get the boats at the beach. So i guess it's better to get your boats at the entrance instead of the beach. FYI, our boat was RM40, which was pretty fair. We walked to the beach by foot. It was a hell lot of jungle trekking.

cute #1

cute #2
i have really cute friends lol

no idea what are these but grrrrr
if you get what i mean

there's those "worm like structures" growing on the leaves surface ...

...and then they probably fell off and turn into black spots

i think la haha i'm not sure, i just made that up based on how it seems to look lol.

have a break have a banana, not kit kat!

Special thanks to RX for braiding my hair. I loved it!

The canopy walkway was closed that day.

Funny story, we saw multiple signs that indicates how far we are from Monkey Beach aka Teluk Duyung (our destination). We saw a sign that says "Monkey Beach 2.0km". We kept going for what seems like ages. Then we saw another sign that says "Monkey Beach 2,0km" again. Twice. We went hysterical for a moment lol but kept on going anyways.

Be very damn careful because there's tons of obstacles along the way.
My poor dumb head collided with an overhanging branch, my head hurt for days.

We ran out of water completely half way into our journey and i saw someone holding a bottle of cold water, he told me he bought it from the stalls in front. Our spirits got lifted and we charged forward. Turns out "in front" wasn't really "very front" lol but we were still motivated.

There were all different sorts of roads (and stairs).  The stoned ones, the wooden ones as well as the .. original but got walked a lot so got road jungle roads lol. Sorry i don't know what to call them lol.

The first thing we did upon arriving the beach was quenching out thirst lolol. I actually bought a coconut and then soya bean then 100 plus lol. We have been walking for about two hours with two breaks (which are less than 10 minutes btw) . Luckily there's trees to shade us from the sun along the journey or else we will probably be roasted, no, charred lol

Credits to RX's snapchat hahas.

Then i went to play ...by myself while they hid under the shades LOLOL They called me crazy for going under the crazy sun. fyi it was 2pm. but it's the beach le & i love beaches. well at least they took a few candid photos for me la hahaha

i was very amused by my own feet lolol

finally noticing them lol

the couples

second time standing on a swing in Penang haha
first time here

Anyone looking for a model?

i'm not kidding when i call them clingy

MW: Look down

*laughs*

MW tries to push everyone in front of her

spot the similarity

I have to say the beach in Penang isn't the nicest beach I've been but the one in National Park is much better than the ones along Batu Ferringhi.

After we're done enjoying the beach, we called for our boat and it arrived within half an hour to pick us up.

we took off our shoes and placed them on the top part of the boat.
We spent our whole boat ride laughing at whoever's fallen shoe lol
mine didn't fall btw :P

Let's just say when you spend time with the right people, everything becomes fun :)

*crops shawn out*

we weren't given life jackets hmm

bought ice creams while waiting for the bus

We took the 101 bus back to Georgetown. Went back to our hotel to wash up then headed out for food!
I forgotten which street was this but it was having some kind of celebration so we went to check it out. It was really interesting cause they dressed in traditional costumes like those ancient Chinese!

Then i bought mochi.

#sheunfact: i like mochi hahas

first time having fried onions in my mochi!

Then we bumped into more street art.

she's just too adorable so i had to.

she requested for the dinosaur to be in the photo

my favourite one of all.

#sheunfact: I HATE CIGARETTES (!!!)

When i passed by this wall two days later it was destroyed :( Will be showing you in the next post cause this post is getting too long. Stay tuned x

Love,
