August has always been my favourite month, for obvious reasons (hint: MY BIRTHDAY). This August started off pretty great because I was finally exam free. Instead of going home & staying there right after my lectures & exams are done, i came back to my hostel to spend an extra week with my friends. I had sleep overs, not to study anymore this time, but just to iflix & chill. I went for proper meals with friends, not having to worry how much time i'm spending on eating instead of studying. Damn that final exams really drove me crazy lol.
I went to Tadom Hill Resort with my fellow coursemates. I've seen videos on Facebook advertising Tadom, it looked like a really nice place & i kinda always wanted to go there. But as most of the advertisements are, they don't exactly look that good in real life. Nonetheless, it still looked pretty decent la. We drove to Tadom, THANK YOU FOR DRIVING US NICK!! & reached there within an hour. We played volleyball. If i'm not mistaken you only need to pay RM50 deposit which is refundable when you return the volleyball so it's kinda free haha! After that we went to the lake. There were bamboo rafts, a Tarzan Swing & a 5m platform. I liked the Tarzan swing. We spent most of the time just chilling in the lake haha, literally. The lake was pretty clean, fortunately, there weren't any foul smell at all. It was a great getaway. We had BBQ for dinner, then played board games. It was such a good time. Oh have i mentioned that the showers & the toilets are really clean and nice? The whole place is pretty well maintained la :D
We opted the hammock sphere which fits 10. There were 12 of us so two of the boys brought over their mattresses from the bamboo hut to join us at the hammock sphere haha! I would say it's pretty comfortable to sleep in hammocks until you wake up the next morning. My entire back ached, my shoulders were in pain for a couple of days after that haha probably because of the curved position la. Still, worth a try :D

The week after that was spent in Taiping due to some family issue which i prefer not to talk about.
I spent a lot of time watching Game Of Thrones too. I just started watching as soon as my holiday started & I've finished all seven seasons. I can't wait for the next season la omg ;'D I love Tyrion & Missandei! I love Daenerys's name too so i named my dummy after her but that's another story haha. On a side note, all of Daenerys's outfit are jaw-dropping gorgeous la omg.
I also went out with my favourite piggy. As always we have to get dessert so we had ice cream with waffles at The Dark Gallery. It was pretty good but they only serve chocolate ice creams so Inside Scoop is still my favourite HAHAHA when is Inside Scoop gonna start paying me for how much i love them? We watched Ghost House which was not bad. She watched Annabelle and she told me Ghost House was better so i can save my money & not watch Annabelle la haha i actually watched the first Annabelle years back and it was actually pretty boring lol. Anyways this piggy super steady la, she was still the entire movie, not even frightened once by any jump scares haha. After movie we went to Absolute Thai & we were very amused by my giant fork. Also, we accidentally ordered "hot water" instead of "warm water" so the water was steaming hot when it was served. By the time we finished our food it was still steaming hot. We couldn't stop laughing!
ALSO I TOOK A PUBLIC TRANSPORT ON MY OWN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 20 YEARS OF MY EXISTENCE. I mean i've taken bus, lrt and stuff before but always with friends, never alone. I was terrified of the idea of getting lost lolol after taking the mrt once with Walter last month i realised it's actually not as complicated as i always thought it would be. I sure am proud of my new achievement hahaha.

I also spent a Sunday with Jess. My second solo MRT trip. We went to church together then we went to Pavilion. We finally got to hang out, girls date. It has been so so long. We went shopping, tried a few new things & had one staple-friendship-dessert, Snowflake!

Then i went back to Taiping again. I met a friend this time *yay Taiping friend haha* Hong Le. We had the famous charkueyteow and ice kacang before heading to La Promise for a slice of cake. The green tea cheesecake there was really good to my surprise, would totally revisit!
On my birthday, which is the last day of August, I went to Cameron Highlands with the fam. I've been wanting to go to Cameron for quite sometime, especially since the weather in KL has been crazy hot. I was super excited when Papa Lau finally agreed to bring us there on my birthday!

We went to the Lavendar Garden everyone was posting about on social media. Tbh there wasn't much to do in there besides looking at flowers, so if you do not like flowers you would probably find it not worth it to visit. I would have enjoyed better if there weren't so many people but well it's public holiday so i can't really complain. It was still worth a visit to me.

After that we went for lunch with a relative & they were super kind and asked us to stay over & so we did. It was some great family time. Nothing special, everything simple, but really really great. I was so happy. We also went to the night market to get some cacti hehs super happy to finally get some succulents. Just couldn't ask for a better way to spend my birthday <3
