SG PART I

Funny how I said I'm back to blogging regularly in my previous post, next thing i know i stop blogging (unintentionally!) for a month. January has been a really hectic month, I was completely occupied with studies as my finals for sem one is around the corner & i don't wanna get all stressed out last minute. I just finished my ESOT (end of semester one test) & i couldn't be more relieved. This entry has been drafted for over a month, i'm so excited to publish it lol.

So i went to Singapore last month during Christmas break with my family. I spend Christmas in SG once with Jess & my relatives from SG few years back (click to read hehs onetwothree & four), this should be my second Christmas in SG. The trip was quite impromptu & the places i visited this trip was very different from my last trip.

We departed from KL in the morning & stopped by at Johor first. We checked out the Legoland, it was...meh looking lol. Oh something interesting happened when we wanted to check out the Legoland resort. My parents wanted to drop us off at the entrance so we can go in & take a look, as we were getting off the car, the staff came to our car & forcefully, yes, forcefully, opened Mama Lau's door, Mama Lau's hand bag fell on the floor lol. that was so rude. We were all stunned. Then the staff told Mama Lau that the resort is only opened for guest, we cannot go in for a visit. So my sisters & I got back into the car. I didn't get it, 1. why couldn't the staff just talk to me/ my sisters? I'm not a kid lol, neither are my sisters. 2. why couldn't she approach Mama Lau nicely instead of opening her car door like that. Anyways,  lost interested in Legoland lol so we headed straight to SG. We drove btw, just in case you're wondering.

On day one, we only visited my cousin, Priscilla's campus, Nanyang Technological University, NTU. I'm in love with their campus. Sorry i was comparing their campus to my own MAHSA University, their campus is obviously way nicer than mine la, there might be nicer campuses out there or sth, i'm only familiar with my own campus so don't come at me lol.

so many photo worth places in their campus la.
if you're following me on ig, you would have seen spams of them on my story haha!

Day two was Christmas itself. We went to Orchard Road. The entire street was beautifully decorated, love love loved the vibes. We went in to the Singapore Visitor Centre cause Papa Lau wanted to get some info, the very friendly staffs inside invited us up to decorate some cookies, how could i say no?

don't know if you could tell but i was actually really happy & excited to do it haha.

guess which one is mine!

gingerbread man on the bottom left, come collect a cookie from me next time if you got it right ahah!

on a side note, the cookies were actually quite tasty, two thumbs up!

The Centre Point had a Star Wars themed decoration which was pretty cool. I don't watch Star Wars just in case you're wondering lol.

i found this decoration really interesting too haha

super love this tree!

A lot photos cmi cause too many photoboommers lol.

for some reason i kept seeing this transparent balloon everywhere,
#sheunfact: i like balloons.
Papa Lau pointed at this, telling me there's mine.
#DadJoke

We did tons of walking at Orchard road the entire morning, then we went to Prudential Marina Bay Sand Carnival. Each ride was around 10SGD, meaning about RM30, that's why i didn't go for any rides haha. It was 4-ish when we got there, the carnival opens at 4, the queue was quite long & the sun was quite hot so we went to The Shoppes (didn't know that's the name of the mall until i googled it lol) first.

Llao Llao all over SG was replaced with Yole.
Yole looks a lot like Llao Llao except the signature green colour
which i can spot from miles away is now a less eye catching blue colour.

We tried one of their original in large and a coconut one (seasonal flavour i guess).
the original one resembles Llao Llao a lot but i'm still loyal to my Llao Llao la.
the coconut one though, was kinda bad, after a few spoons i got kinda sick of it lol.

still one #TeamLlaoLlao

There's no entrance fees to the carnival so we went in for a look & left haha. The Mach 5 was the only thing that looked interesting to me.

photo taken by Papa Lau. He said the view is good there & asked me to stand there. Not bad la, made it to my blog haha.

Then we walked over to the hawker centre at Lau Pa Sat for dinner. Their hawker centre is so clean & not stuffy, unlike the ones in Msia lol. They even have a beautiful Christmas tree at the center!

After dinner we stopped by the other side of the carnival to take a look haha. It's pretty much what you can expect in a carnival la.

That's how we ended Day Two! We were exhausted after all the walking haha.

On Day Three, we went to the Army Museum of Singapore, we were supposed to go to the science centre but due to some miscommunication we ended up at the army museum. I'm glad we went to the army museum as we've been to the science museum years back & i find the army museum quite interesting!

here's the ticket rates just in case anyone is wondering haha you're welcome.

the staff there was super friendly & nice :D

probably me calling pizza delivery

Uncle Edwin told us this is how the army boys called their girlfriends in camps haha

unglam hahahahha

we also get to try shooting, it was so fun, didn't get a decent pic of myself so here's one of Ming haha.

I was actually surprisingly pretty good at shooting weih, i got excellent shooter as my results haha.

this looked easier than it actually is lol

Papa Lau's photography hahaha

Next, we went to Sushi Express for lunch. I really like Sushi Express, wished we have Sushi Express in Malaysia too! They taste so good & they don't cost a bomb, probably my favourite place to eat in Singapore dy!

sheun being sheun, starting with dessert haha

Not sure what's this but i really liked it

happy kid hehs

After lunch, we went to Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay, which is probably my favourite part of the trip. I'll continue this in the next entry so stay tuned okay!
