Chapter One & Two of 2018

now that i have a new blog template i find the need to put a presentable
(yes this is my idea of presentable lolol) photo as my cover

Hello, I'm finally back again with another long overdue post. I've been busy catching up with my studies, training for my upcoming volleyball competition, as well as preparing for our DSS carnival. Life has been so busy, but so good. I'm really grateful for that, despite how exhausted i feel some days, i feel equally fulfilled. Uni life done right (finally)? I'm combining highlights from January and February in a single entry cause i'm lazy to make separate entries oh well.

Oh, I just purchased a blog template for the first time after nearly a decade of blogging. I used to find free templates online after learning how to & use them for my blog, then i went back to using the templates available in blogger itself. Last month i had the strongest urge ever to buy a template after scouting online for days, trying to find the template i've been dreaming of (haha yes), but none of them worked. I ended up getting one from Etsy. Best decision ever.

This is where i got my template from. They were really quick at setting up the template for me as soon as i purchased the template, they responded really quickly to all my enquiries too. Would totally recommend this shop :)

In January, i watched Insidious 3. It was okay la, i find the storyline very similar to the first two movies, hence it got slightly boring la. I need new horror movies pls!

I also had a BBQ at Skypark with DSS committee in hopes to bond la, but it didn't go well because it rained and we had to split up to cook at different places.

Then i became the scorekeeper for DSS Cup Futsal. I was given the job "announcer" initially where i was supposed to announce which team is going next and stuff like that, pardon me for i don't know the exact terms for that la lol, i ended up being the scorekeeper as well. It was kinda fun & exciting. I tried playing futsal last year but i realise my legs couldn't respond fast enough to play the game well, but it's still a pretty interesting game to watch :D

coursematesssss <3 love this pic!

Oh after futsal we went to Uncle Don's Taipan for our very late lunch I find the price reasonable for the atmosphere it provides, the food tasted not bad too. I didn't manage to get good pictures of everything but i got one of the most photogenic nachos haha. One of the main reasons i want to give this place a try is the nachos, they looked really good in my friend's snap

the portion is quite big, suitable for sharing among 6 people i guess?
it's not as cheesy & flavourful as i expected it to be, but worth a try la :)

I met up with my favorite pig again. We met up at Sunway Velocity for lunch & went shopping for school supplies/ groceries before ending with dessert. There is always loads of fun, laughter & desserts whenever i meet this girl la.

*heart eye emoji*

We had lunch at Myeongdong Topokki, we loved the rice cakes! Would totally revisit! :)

We also tried Kiss The Tiramisu. I got the green tea one & loved it! It was quite pricey tho.

xie xie ni wo de man fen peng you <3

Tiny photo session while grocery shopping cause we don't wanna be too aunty hahaha

she said my specs are too reflective so i have to put it up like aunty hahahahaa

Following was study week, and then End of Sem One Test. We were really lucky as we had nearly three weeks of break to prepare for our test, excluding two days a week that's spent in the lab la. Also, our Chinese New Year break was AFTER our ESOT. Last year CNY break was before ESOT, it was no fun as i had to be stressing out about my tests while people are enjoying like they are supposed to during CNY.

my table no. for my last paper, happy cause it's my birthday date haha.

After ESOT I went to Berbatu BBQ & Steamboat at Subang Jaya for an annual CNY dinner together with my foundation friends. The place was spacious & perfect for big crowds like us la. We were the youngest crowd there lol, everyone else there were probably in their late 50s or even older lolol. Nevertheless it was a great gathering. Something I do wish to keep as a tradition for years to come!

my girls <3

FIS Jan '15

after the dinner, we celebrated our dearest YinRuo's 21st birthday in our hostel room.
the girls came over with presents and cake as a surprise. It was really intimate & lovely.

Last but not least was  CNY break itself. I went on a trip to Korea with my family instead of going back to Taiping this year. I would blog about it (hopefully) soon, so stay tuned!

here's one of my fav shot from the trip

Til the next post!

Love,
Sheunny
