5 days in Krabi (3) ft. Hong Island & Ao Nang Beach

Okayy it's been forever, but i've drafted this post so i might as well post it right haha. Last post on my Krabi trip last September with my friends la.

So we went to Hong Island & i liked Hong Island. It was the last day of our island hopping journey and we were severely sunburnt from the day before so we spent a little less time in the water and a little more time on the beach.

I've never been so sunburnt. Fun fact, none of my tan lines lasted so insanely long before, i mean it's January now, 4 months since my trip, my tan lines are still freaking well defined haha. I've been tanned from other trips and sports but the tan from Krabi is the craziest! No regrets tho, good times!!

Have i mentioned that most of the photos i took from Krabi are zero filter
and taken by Vivian's iphone 6?
didn't bring my camera out cause it would be too hard to take care of it :(
waterproof camera (umm gopro ahemmm) is definitely on my wishlist la

Okay, sorry la it's been pictures of me only. Here's a picture of my friends haha. We were so sunburnt as i've mentioned so we hid under the shades and made a sandcastle, a molar (dental student woohoo) and a skull (medicine student woohoo) haha. It was so fun and nerdy la! I only ran into the sun for a couple photos (i just have to you know haha) and went back inside to join the party haha.

Fang Jing was so patient and nice to help me take shots after shots ahahaha
and they turn out kinda nice too, thank you Fang Jing!

can u see how red i was!!!

my dental friends, what tooth is this!!
We got our tooth carving sifu Elliot, so this is confirm accurate la!

Before ending our island hopping, we did stop at somewhere i couldn't remember for our last snorkel, it was really beautiful, one of the most beautiful scene i've seen in Krabi la, i just couldn't remember where was it (it was kinda in the middle of no where lol!).

After spending the day at the island, we got back to shower and freshen up for dinner la. So glad we got to catch the Ao Nang beach sunset right in front of our resort.

it was so breathtaking in real life, i'm not even exaggerating, i love sunsets.

sunsets are proof that endings can be beautiful too. love this quote.
& ofc i have to bring out my very extra hat for photos la haha.

sorry i can't decide which one i like best so i need to post all of them haha
tell me how not to be in love with the sunset!!

sunset + beach is all i need in my life la. okay maybe ice cream too.

& ofc i went for pad thai without second thoughts
i didn't eat as much tomyum as i expected myself to eat but i sure as hell ate a lot of pad thai & i still freaking love it

i looked like a cooked lobster haha

this was the restaurant we went!! I remember the food there was pretty good and the pricing was reasonable too :)

oh, i have to get a coconut too ofc. The coconut was so huge, you don't see this in Malaysia, at least i haven't seen one la.
It's definitely more than 2kgs, and less than RM5 only, and super nice.
I love coconuts, the juice and the flesh, i don't think there's a better place to get them coconut than Krabi haha.

The next day we had to leave la, super heavy hearted but super contented. I definitely enjoyed the beaches and islands, the pad thais and the coconut, the board games every night and the endless laughters, and of course, the company. Couldn't ask for more la!

Krabi isn't very expensive to travel to if you ask me, the food are roughly the same price as Malaysia, the only thing we spent more on was entrance fees for the beaches and islands i believe. It's less than RM10 for locals, but for foreigners they charge about 10 times the price of the locals la. So yeah. Would i revisit? Yeah.

Oh ya, before we left i went to this cute looking juice place right opposite our resort to try out their juice. Despite looking fancy it wasn't overpriced & it was kinda nice.
while q-ing there were four angmohs in front of me la (2 weren't in the pic)
then i asked the one who got her smoothie if it was nice, she offered her smoothie for me to try,
i don't remember if i actually tried it, i most probably did. haha so friendly one.

I got the coconut one because i love coconuts and as i've mentioned Krabi is the best place (imo) to get coconuts la haha.
& there's elliot whom came shortly afterwards & got a mango smoothie. I remember him finishing it really fast so i think it was nice la too la haha

alsooo, it's a thing to try McD when visiting other countries.
This was probably some spinach pie with cheese, it was soso only i think.

I like to visit 7 elevens and McD while traveling just to see the difference haha
& i'm always buying food from the local 7e
Don't tell me you don't do it too!!

So yeah, that's all for Krabi. Woohoo, feeling so accomplished for completing my Krabi entries after a year haha. I hope you enjoyed reading. Can't wait for my future self to read this. I'm always glad that i blog because every once in a while i'll be rereading my old entries and reminiscing the old memories la that's why i kept blogging throughout the years, and i'll keep blogging even if i'm the only person reading la hehe.

Love,
Sheunny
