Shin Zushi Sushi Bar- My Fav Sushi Place Yet?

Hello! Today I'd like to introduce this Japanese restaurant I absolutely love- Shin Zushi Sushi Bar! My first visit was few months back, to their branch in Puchong. Even then i was already in love with the place. I was beyond ecstatic when I was invited to their new branch in USJ Taipan for lunch. Scroll on & get ready to drool y'all!

besides serving top-notch food, they take their wood crafts just as serious
it's just so beautiful, this table is one of the examples.

Salmon Nigiri

super basic but super good!

Santen Salmon Sashimi RM45

Salmon, Salmon Belly & Ikura Sashimi
1. The presentation is so on point. Super IG-able.
2. It's really good. Like really really good.

The salmon slices are sooo thick
& i absolutely love the salmon belly
trust me, it's worth a try.

remember what i said about woodcraft?
just look at how beautiful this wooden bowl (?) is.

Avocado Sarada RM16

I'm a huge fan of avocado so i decided to give this a try
it's a really basic avocado salad
i appreciate the generous amount of avocado and mentaiko :)

Salmon Sarada RM18

here's another bowl of salad, but premium edition with sliced salmon
the portion is actually pretty big,
this could be one whole meal on it's own!

Take Nigiri RM25

not sure what to get/ wanna try everything?
here you go, 9 different sushi, you're welcome :)

the salmon was so good so we decided to order them AGAIN
we ordered them from individually from the sashimi menu
but they came in this beautiful platter
so IG-able!!

Salmon Hara Sashimi RM15
(salmon belly sashimi)
Shake Sashimi RM12
(salmon sashimi)

Promise me you'll order the salmon belly please?
cause you'll be missing out if you don't.

its sooooooooooooooooo good

If you're not a fan of raw/sashimi, fret not, there's plenty options for you too.
There's tons of bento sets, a wide variety of both rice and noodles to choose from the menu too
I've personally tried their bento sets during my last visit (& they are good, really good)
so we didn't get them this time, we tried a few other dishes instead

Torched eel with sweet sauce maki RM10.5

The combination of the crunchy bits in the center,
the densely packed premium Japanese rice,
the beautifully torched eel,
and just the perfect amount of sweet sauce
is a true party in the mouth
Saikoro Steak RM27

forgive me for i didn't get a proper pic of it but here's a piece of it

Wakatori Teriyaki RM15

If you know me well, I usually avoid fried food
because i find that they give me the sore throat feeling,
and i'm not a fan of the greasiness.
HOWEVER, this plate of deep fried chicken with teriyaki sauce was nothing like that
it was amazing
love how fragrant and savory it was, crunchy on the outside but tender on the inside

give this a try too please? :)

I missed out on the name & price for this one :(

another torched eel with sweet sauce cause we couldn't get enough of it
They nailed both the presentation and the taste as usual
did i mention that each and every one of the sushi was made fresh to order?
so good!!
we ordered some ice cream to give the meal a perfect ending
they have vanilla, black sesame & matcha, 3 flavours, so we got all 3 of them haha.
i wished they have more dessert options because judging from how good the food is,
they would probably be able to serve good japanese desserts too la!!

a pic with our table full of gastronomic delights
incredibly grateful for this opportunity to review the food here :')
will definitely go back for more once this 2-weeks movement restriction is over!!
you should try it for yourself too.

PS: they have branches in Bukit Jalil, Puchong and USJ Taipan!
go tryyy

Love,
Sheunny
