Langkawi : Food I ate.

I've been struggling for a long time for a title for this post, you know, deciding on a title is like the toughest part in blogging if you ask me because it gives people the first impression on that particular post and impressions are deadly crucial you know but somehow i believe the contents are equally crucial as well, oh why am i contradicting myself hmmmm the thing is don't judge a book by it's cover la, i may suck at titles sometimes but the contents won't suck haha! At the same time, why not start off well with a nice decent title that is interesting and catchy?

Oh dear, how did i type all that?

Okay, Langkawi. So, I went to Langkawi during the Mid Term Break which just ended a few days ago, which i am missing badly lolol, I am so not used to following the rules and listening to teacehrs yet and we're getting back our result and omg they were scary! Back to my actual topic, Langkawi, yes Langkawi. It was a four days three night family getaway. I decided to blog about my trip in two separate post, one for "Food" and another for "Fun", instead of following the flow according to the time/days since it's a completely unplanned holiday and everythings a bit too messed up and this would be an easier way. And so, i decided to start with food first because well, who doesn't like food?

This was dinner from the local night market on the first night there. We had breakfast before going Langkawi and lunch at a random hawker stall which i don't remember it's name and the food was nothing special.. They have night markets at different locatioins every night which you can easily visit everyday if you want since Lnagkawi is a small island and there is hardly any traffic so you can drive everywhere easily :) Almost all of the vendors there are Malay - unlike the ones in KL that i;ve been to - and everything was reasonably priced and looked pretty appetizing :) I didn't manage to capture everything we brought because they were eaten by my family too soon haha! I've only visited the night market on Tuesday and Thursday and I think they are all the same, lolol they are probably the same vendors selling same things at different locations only la :P

I know i have different skin tone on my tights, don't have to state the obvious.

This was lunch at a Thai Restaurant at Pantai Cenang. The food was simple yet tasty but nothing much special and worth writing about hmmm. Proceed! 

This was lunch at a fish farm during our half boat tour trip. The grouper fish was super fresh because we picked it right from the farm, the chicken (right bottom) was super hard to bite and dry, no idea why did my dad order it at a fish farm. The other two was okay but the servings were rather small. I would be lying if i say the food was good, it was merely passable and not worth the price if you ask me but it was fun visiting the fish farm! Oh, i forgotten to take photos of the tea and coffee they serve, it's crazily sweet and milk and no doubt you'll be diagnosed with diabetes if you drink it on daily basis for a month. No joke.

This was an early dinner at a Pantai Kok. We were just passing by and we noticed a food truck there with quite a number of customers so we decided to give it a try and i am glad we did. I'm not sure if it was because i was in a good mood or anything affecting me to be bias, but it was one of my favorite meal in Langkawi. FYI, my family and I aren't really big eaters, we usually order a four pax meal although there's five of us. However, as you can see from the picture above, the one with the empty plates (aftermath haha!) we ordered a lot! We started off with one of each on the menu, then we added on watermelon and nasi lemak and also several cups of cincau & orange juice that wasn't in the photo lolol oh and also a two packets of tidbits. It was a delicious meal and super affortable too! I guess Lady Luck was on our side because the weather was fine on that day so we enjoyed our meal at the sea side in the open and make shift tables and chairs :)

This was dinner at Orkid Ria Seafood Restaurant, you'll be spoilt for choice by the seafood that's available but they were kinda pricey and so we settled with soft shell crab. OMG wait i forgotten to take a pciture of the scallops!!!! It was my fav on the table that night, the scallops were really big and chewy and yummy and omg i cant believe i actually left that out in the picture! *slap me pls* I would say the food was delicious and satisfying but the servings were really small. Somehow it's worth the try :)

That's pretty much the more interesting meals i had in Langkawi. We had buffet breakfast at the hotel and the buffet quite nice la. the usual type of breakfast buffet lo, idk my previous breakfast buffet at Tioman was bad so yeah.

Talking about the hotel, we stayed at Resort World Langkawi and it was not bad :) oh except the fact that they kept us waiting for nearly four hours to check in because the room wasn't prepared :( oh the people working at the hotel was kind and friendly which is a plus point of course.
